Our flow wrap solutions can be engineered to contain a superior moisture barrier and provide quality sealing through dust and powders even at high line speeds and over a range of sealing temperatures. Careful selection of our raw materials maximises packaging resistance to punctures and abrasion for problem-free shipping and distribution. We can tailor the stiffness, hardness and flexibility characteristics of the packaging for better food presentation and protection against damage. Control can further be exercised over tear propagation for directional tear.
Our top webs provide high hot tack strength for sealing and because they seal under a broad temperature range are well suited to higher packaging line speeds. We have specific solutions for sealing to aluminium that provide consistent, strong or easy peelable seals. Top web lidding solutions also exist for PP, PS, APET, CPET, RPET, glass and PVC based containers and trays that provide stable peel performance over time. We have significant experience in down gauging films to reduce packaging waste yet preserving product quality.
Quantum's stand-up pouches ensure easy, no spill openings and can be made reclosable if desired. High puncture resistance and material stiffness can be adjusted to ensure pouches stand up straight and maximise shelf appeal. Many of our laminates have no primer resulting in fewer taste and flavour issues with printing options in either flexo or gravure.
There are a wide variety of die cut lids options available that can seal to Paper/PE, PP, PS or PET containers. Snack pot pre cut diaphragms in particular need to be able to seal through seal flange contamination from powder and we have a number of co-ex solutions that could be particularly applicable.
Our base webs product range includes a host of options that can deliver on the clarity, barrier, draw and recycle characteristics required. We even have peelable semi-rigid base webs that can allow a reduction is top web SKU's. Contact one of our product specialists for further details.
