Q-FLOW – FLOW WRAP FILM
Form-fill-seal film or rewind film is supplied for high speed, automated processing. The primary benefit of using form-fill-seal packaging when compared with pre-made pouches is lower cost per bag and increased production rates. This type of packaging is most suited to longer runs/higher output. Many flow wrap films are also suitable for top web lidding.

TYPICAL CONSTRUCTIONS
Quantum supplies a broad range of Flow Wrap films to suit your individual requirements. Some of our more popular laminate constructions include:-
Q-FLOW OPP / OPP or CPP
Widely used for VFFS or HFFS applications in preference to single webs, due to improved presentation when the film is printed. Inks are sandwiched between the two layers giving a glossy, scuff-resistant finish. A CPP seal layer can provide tough seals and won’t scuff or scratch when packing abrasive products.
Q-FLOW PET / LDPE
When seal integrity is essential, a quality hot-tack PE allows for seal contamination and supports a heavy pack weight. A metallised PET or PE gives a premium ‘foil style’ appearance plus excellent oxygen, moisture and light barrier properties.
Q-FLOW PET or PAPER / ALU / PE
Aluminium, up to 25 microns, offers the ultimate barrier for sensitive or long-life products. A PET outer layer gives a tough, glossy finish; paper adds tear ability for easy opening. The seal layer can be tailored to suit specific products on VFFS or sachet machines.
Q-FLOW PA / PE CO EXTRUSION
These multi-layer films are available in a wide range of grades and thicknesses. Designed for vacuum applications, they can be used for bulk packing products. High barrier EVOH layers can be added for products that require extra shelf life. Clients often request this construction of film to be colour tinted. This can be done though the introduction of dyes into the extrusion process or printed.
Q-FLOW OPA or PET / PE-EVOH-PE
Where clear, high barrier film is required this offers an ideal solution. Suitable for M.A.P applications or the packing of aggressive products. A variety of sealing options allows for sachet and flow-wrap applications. OPA offers extra strength and puncture resistance for large volume or abrasive products.
This construction can also be made in easy tear format. We can manufacture the films so that the polymers are oriented in a specific way to allow easy opening. It is a great solution for sachets and stick packs. Laser perforation can also be added to increase the tearablity if need be.
